Until the past few months, I had been filling my head with all sorts of information on the ‘How-To’s’ of Attraction Marketing and Internet Marketing in general. I have been really studying hard and applying what I’ve learned.

So, why hadn’t I seen any real results? Why hadn’t I turned this knowledge into power and achieved  Attraction Marketing success?

I didn’t expect it to happen overnight! I had been working very hard at it and I am well aware that real success in anything doesn’t come easy. And I’m sure you know it too.

Think about it. We have the entire world at our fingertips through the World Wide Web! We have mountains of information piled on shelves at our local libraries. We study this material hard and apply it to the best of our abilities.  So, why aren’t we walking, talking encyclopedias of our chosen niche’ in Attraction Marketing? And why hadn’t we achieved great power and success online?

I’ll Tell You Why…

Now, this took me a while to figure out, so hopefully you have found this early on and you can save yourself  HUGE amounts of time. If you have been struggling, the struggle is over . And that is a fact. So, read on and stick with it until the end, because I am 100% sure you can benefit from this information!

There are different kinds of knowledge…

  • General Knowledge
  • Organized Knowledge

If you are just gathering information, (even if it is great info), and you are just storing it as general knowledge…. It will be USELESS !! Knowledge like that might win you some kind of Attraction Marketing trivia game, but it surely isn’t going to give you that success you are looking for.

Fact gathering is just not worth a damn until that knowledge is organized and put into a violently focused use!


Understand this: Organized Knowledge does not mean having nice neat notes. It does not mean having a spreadsheet that catalogs your Attraction Marketing articles or having your course books all in alphabetical order on the book shelf.

Organized Knowledge Can Not Be Achieved Alone…

It is extremely important to understand that Organized Knowledge will only come from a group of two or more like-minded people who are working towards a common goal. Organized Knowledge is, “a meeting of the minds” , if you will. It is only through the combination of their general knowledge, put into massive action, that will produce massive results.

So, in studying Attraction Marketing , why would we even waste the time and potential for success by going at it alone. We can be so much more efficient, successful and powerful by organizing our knowledge into one place and helping each other along the way.

Work Smarter, Not Harder…

You do not need to depend solely upon yourself for gaining and organizing this knowledge. You should simply surround yourself with other people:

  • Who are successful with applying Attraction Marketing techniques
  • Who are actively coaching and mentoring on a daily basis
  • who already have a Master-Mind in place that you can become a part of
  • who have a system in place for putting that knowledge into action

To Give Is To Receive (Without expecting to receive!)

This is actually the basis for everything Attraction Marketing stands for. And, the Rule of Reciprocation is by far the most vital rule of the Internet Marketing Psychology strategies we have been reviewing.

The Rule of Reciprocation says that we should try to repay, in kind, what another person has provided us. A quote from Robert Cialdini’s book: Influence: Science and Practice (5th Edition).

This rule extends far beyond applying it to Attraction Marketing. Reciprocation has been a part of our social behavior from the very beginning!

Think back to the days of barter and trade. A trapper may have provided a butcher with furs from the season’s hunt. In return, he was most likely given some meat to sustain his next trip.

Even in today’s fast paced society there are many instances of the rule of reciprocity taking place. How about the world of politics? Lobbyist groups will support certain political parties and then receive political favors in return. Or, it could be as simple as receiving a Christmas card from someone who isn’t on your list. Don’t you feel obligated to add them to your list and get one to them right away? Sure, we all do.

Think about times when someone has done a favor for you and you didn’t even ask them to do this favor. I’ll bet you not only felt obligated to return the favor, but it was probably an even bigger favor.
Favorable acts that are done out of “the kindness of your heart” are, more often than not, repaid to you on a much larger scale. And that person’s feeling of obligation to repay you will last much longer.
So, be sure you apply the Rule of Reciprocation to your Internet Marketing and give away some valuable content before you begin to monetize. Because, it’s then and only then, that you will begin to receive!

Adding Social Proof to Attraction Marketing can prove to be extremely powerful. And next to value based content, Social Proof can place you in the position of expert more than any other skill learned through the study of Internet Marketing Psychology.

What is Social Proof And Why Is It So Powerful?

Social Proof can be as basic as the old saying we’ve all heard: “Well, if everybody else is doing it, it must be o.k..” Or, like my next example, it may not be quite so obvious.

My Sister sometimes works as a bartender, and the first thing she does when she gets to work is pre-load the tip jar with a few one Dollar bills and five Dollar bills of her own money. She Says it cuts down on the ‘cheap-skates’ and increases her tip amounts every night. Because, everyone sees the paper money in the tip jar and feels that must be how everyone else tips, So I will tip at least one Dollar too!

We Can All Apply This Simple, Yet Powerful, Tactic To Attraction Marketing

One instrumental piece of Social Proof is the use of testimonials. Being able to see what several other people are saying about a product, service or person gives us the ‘O.K.’ to act on our thoughts. It not only shows us that others are a purchasing a product, but what they liked or disliked about it! So the faithful human behavior kicks-in; If others are buying it, I will too!

Not to mention, if you throw in a little fear of loss, it’s a done deal.

You might be thinking “Oh great….I don’t have any testimonials… and how am I going to get them?”

  • Well, you could simply ask for testimonials from your current customers. Or, if you are just starting out, you could ‘Pre-Load’ The Tip Jar by having a few friends write some positive points that they like about you and your products.
  • Maybe, you have sold 3,000 e-books. If so, then post it.
  • Maybe, you have spoken at a seminar. If so, then post it.
  • Maybe, you have 28,508 Followers on Twitter Ask others if they would like to join over 28,000 other people who have decided you are worth hearing from.

The point is this, if you have anything you feel would give others the Social Proof they need to believe that their decision to purchase from you, is backed up by other people doing the same thing.

Please take note of this: Do Not Fake your testimonials- everyone will see right through it and never return!

As you can see, Social Proof can be a vital in the way others perceive you as a Professional in Attraction Marketing.

In the world of Internet Marketing Psychology, offering a valuable tool or information for a limited time or limited amount of products can provide a massive boost to your Attraction Marketing Campaigns.

We have been dealing with this our whole lives.  It is ingrained into our minds from an early age.  As children, we were told: “No! Don’t touch that!” and what did we want to do? TOUCH IT!  Imagine there were two kinds of cookies in the pantry; one full bag and one with only three left.  The bag with only three left will become more appealing even if you like the other kind better, because, you’re thinking to yourself “I better eat these now, they might be gone the next time I check!”

And as adults we still see the fear of loss every day.

For example:

  • Limited Time Offer- Act NOW!
  • Only Valid Until…..
  • Going Out of Business Sale.. Everything is Going Fast!
  • Midnight Madness Sale 2 Hours Only!!

Probably the time we can all associate with the fear of loss the most, is around Christmas shopping time.
We will see a Hot New Product being advertised, and every kid wants one!  Then we’re at the stores shopping for that hot new product, only to find understocked inventory, and empty shelves. Now they have changed your ‘want’ for the Hot New Product into a full-blown “Gotta-Have-IT!”

After Christmas, guess what you’ll find on every end-cap display and every shelf?….You guessed it!

Now the manufacturers are enjoying great sales revenue in what is supposed to be the after holiday slump!

I think it’s brilliant!

Let’s talk about adding this to our Attraction Marketing.

First, make sure you are combining the fear of loss technique with an outstanding, info-packed product or an article that provides your target market with something they can learn from and put to use. Because, if you combine any of the Internet Marketing Psychology tactics with ‘spammy’ products, info or services, it will surely backfire. News travels fast when it is bad news. But, valuable information travels much further, lasts longer and makes you stand out from the crowd as an expert.

I am always reading new books that will give me the knowledge I need to be on the cutting edge of my Attraction Marketing business and to better coach and train others to succeed in theirs.

So, I thought I would take a minute to give all of you a small but powerful part of an amazing book I have recently read;

Influence: Science and Practice (5th Edition) .

I have learned that there are certain psychological triggers that cause someone to say YES!

As you read this excerpt from Influence: Science and Practice, I want you to think of the ways you can apply it to your marketing and your everyday life, because, I would love to hear from your experiences with what you will have learned here.

As written by Robert B. Cialdini : Demonstrated by social psychologist Ellen Langer and her co-workers. A well known principle of human behavior says that when we ask someone to do us a favor we will be more successful if we provide a reason. People simply like to have reasons for what they do. Langer demonstrated this unsurprising fact by asking a small favor of people waiting in line to use a library copying machine: “Excuse me, I have five pages. May I use the Xerox machine because I’m in a rush?” The effectiveness of this request plus-reason was nearly total: 94 percent of those asked let her skip ahead of them in line. Compare this success rate to the results when she made the request only: “Excuse me, I have five pages. May I use the Xerox machine?” Under those circumstances only 60 percent of those asked complied. At first glance, it appears that the crucial difference between the two requests was the additional information provided by the words because I’m in a rush. However, a third request tried by Langer showed that this was not the case. It seems that it was not the whole series of words, but the first one, because, that made the difference. Instead of including a real reason for compliance, Langer’s third type of request used the word because and then, adding nothing new, merely restated the obvious: “Excuse me, I have five pages. May I use the Xerox machine because I have to make some copies?” The result was once again nearly all (93%) agreed, even though no real reason, no new information was added to justify their compliance.

I have put this into my marketing efforts, ran it through split testing and received more click-thru’s , because I use this technique.
